Just Because

I saw this on a social media site and it really ties in what I have always said and felt. Of course it’s nice to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and other traditionally honored days, but it is even more special to enjoy “just because” days. It’s important to celebrate life and each other without specially marked days on the calendar, and the marketing world, dictating what we do and what we buy. Not to mention, personal and thoughtful cards and gifts are more memorable and more cherished. This does not mean that popular days shouldn’t be celebrated, but a reminder that “just because” days go a long way in expressing love and appreciation.
