This article discusses how we focus on social media and the attention of strangers rather than instead of the people we claim to love. I’ve witnessed this firsthand. Don’t get me wrong; I’m no stranger myself to perusing various social media accounts as well as this blog. However, I do not sit through dinners with my face in my phone. In fact, I don’t even touch it. The same thing applies to the movie theater , the bowling alley, visiting family and friends, mini golf, you name it!!! However, if the other person blatantly ignores me, ESPECIALLY after I’ve kindly asked them to recfocus on our sliver of time together, then I’m not about to waste my brain space by staring at them stare at their electronics.

I read this somewhere a few months ago and even got irritated with myself. One thing I know though…75-80% improvement now from the last 12 months.

It’s always a good thing when we can reflect upon and make improvements upping ourselves. 😊 One of my childhood friends who posted this mentioned how she noticed she was posting the article on FB despite the article discussing not being on social media so much, lol!!! Regardless, it’s healthy for all of us to keep ourselves in check and to truly embrace those special moments with loved ones. I’m trying to teach this to my kids, too, and it’s tough considering they were born with all of this being the norm. 😩

It was awful. So much more freeing after making the change. We barter for tablet time around here so I have to be fair and put my fucking phone away too!
